Nu Instruments | Time Resolved Analysis Software for Laser Ablation and Chromatography

This application note introduces the AttoLab Time Resolved Analysis module and explains how it supports acquisition, filtering, reduction and integration of transient ICP-MS data from laser ablation and chromatography applications.

2a (Raw) and 2b (low level Filtered) of the same ablation craters showing the ability to simply smooth the data for easier data interpretation.

Transient signals generated during laser ablation and chromatographic separations require dedicated software tools for efficient acquisition and interpretation. The AttoLab TRA module was developed to maximise the capabilities of the Attom FastScan platform.

Users can visualise data in real time, apply filtering routines to improve precision and perform data reduction using integrated calculation tools. The system also enables processing during acquisition or through post-run reanalysis.

Bi-directional hardware triggering and compatibility with common third-party software packages allow seamless coordination with laser ablation systems, chromatographs and geochemical data processing workflows.
